FAQs
Question: Why are News, Article and Social releases important for my website?
Answer: They build trusted inbound links to your site that search engines take into account in the algorithm process of deciding site placement.
Question: Why are these links called backlinks?
Answer: These are inbound links only, that point at your site. They are like votes to your site, provided they are not reciprocal and that they match your website topic theme. Outbound links from your site to another site are not votes to your site.
Question: How many backlinks do I need?
Answer: That depends on how many backlinks your competitors have and the quality of their backlinks. Most high placing web sites for search have a significant number of high quality backlinks. Having only a few backlink votes is not enough for top placement.
Question: Are backlink votes the only factor for my website placement?
Answer: No, there are many factors including domain trust, tags, content, ability to access content etc, but backlink votes can be approximately 25% of a search engines algorithm as a factor to your site placement.
Question: Am I buying this service just for backlink votes votes only?
Answer: For many websites quality backlinks are a primary objective of this emedia service but for others they want the media read attention for their products and services. Our programs accomplish both objectives.
Question: Are there good links and bad links?
Answer: Yes the backlinks need to match your theme and ideally be "one way" and coming from some anchor text so the search engines can get some context from the words around the link. Many sites have spam links that have nothing to do with their site theme and this hurts their search placement. It's hard to get rid of bad inbound links if you already have them. It's easier to overwhelm the bad links with good one way anchor text based backlink votes for your site by creating sufficient volume of new inbound links.
Question: Can I have too many inbound link votes?
Answer: Yes and no. You can never have too many as long as they come from a trusted source, are of high quality and match your site theme. If you have bursts of spam backlinks or inbound links that don't match your site theme it will have a negative effect. Search engines are looking for natural votes for your site from other sites that share your theme or from democratic sources like news, articles or social commentary.
Question: Why not just sign up to many different directories?
Answer: Niche directories that match your site theme can get very expensive, especially if that directory has a high Page Rank and is sending you a powerful site vote. If the directory is one way to your site, and comes from content or a category that matches your theme it's alright - albeit an expensive way to build backlink votes. It's important that those directory links have some level of trust with the search engines or it can be a negative for your site. Google doesn't like paid directories if they are detected as paid directories because it's not seen as a natural vote for your site. News and social backlinks almost always have a higher trust level than directory backlinks because they come from a more democratic process. It is best to go after the very top placing directories only for your top website keywords and use our service to build high volume, low cost themed link votes to your site.
Question: How do I know I'm getting the backlinks?
Answer: We benchmark your existing backlinks and send you weekly stats on the new links being built along with examples of your release as shown on various search engine listings.
Question: So what exactly is the process?
Answer: We pick a news or social theme that we can build a story around. We research the news topic and write your business into the story usually using the customer as an industry expert or testimonial in the release. You approve the release before it is syndicated. We submit/syndicate the release with many news feeds or social engines and the viral distribution process takes hold. Search engines spider the content at news services 24/7. It ends up in the search engine news headlines for your keyword theme e.g.. Google News. Soon after it ends up in the search engine indexes pointing back at your site creating the backlinks. It also ends up at hundreds of other sources as well pointing back at your site because this is a viral process.
Question: How long do the links last?
Answer: Search engine indexes rarely purge content. They are focused on competition and building ever expanding information data bases for public consumption. Record size in an index gives the engine bragging rights. Some small article engines may purge content from time to time but the viral nature of the program insures that many backlinks continue to point at your site for many years to come ... and at a very low cost per link vote.
Question: How often do I need to do this?
Answer: The maximum is once per yearly quarter. We have some customers that only do this service once and get the links or media attention they need. We have some that do it every quarter. On average most might do it a couple times per year or they alternate between news and social releases. In any event, it's always a good thing to have a backlink strategy and keep a nice steady drip of high quality link votes coming to your site. It will support your placement on an ongoing basis.
Question: Do you have a store front location I can visit?
Answer: No - like most web based businesses, we are a virtual company. You can contact us by email or phone. Our business base is in Ontario Canada but of course our customers come from many locations around the world with the biggest concentration being in Canada and the USA. Our Canadian dollar usually works to a healthy price advantage to the favor of our US customers.
Question: How do I order the services?
Answer: Send us an email and we'll get you into queue. Once you have decided to proceed we will email you a deposit invoice/Paypal request for half of the program costs. Your deposit is the trigger for us to begin the work and on completion of syndication a second invoice for the balance will be emailed to you.
Question: How long does it take?
Answer: Once the submission is approved by you it will take about a week to see first results. Overall the writing process from beginning to first syndication results averages about two or three weeks. Incoming links can carry on for many months but they usually peak at about four weeks after syndication. We send weekly stats until the backlinks and media reads peak.
